- This Detroit Pistons new logo was officially unveiled on May 16, 2017 as the team's primary logo.
- Pistons creative team, took a six month design process, together with NBA and Nike to came out with this updated new logo.
- This logo is the eighth version and have been used since 2017 up to the present.
- Detroit Pistons history dated back to 1941 with the team's original name was Zollner Pistons, which was named after its owner Fred Zollner, who also owned a piston manufacturing business. After relocating from Indiana to Detroit, the name was changed to Detroit Pistons in 1957.
